In college, many students tend to be either from out of state or commuters, which makes access to a car or transportation quite challenging to come by. Thankfully, there is public transportation that allows students the ability to travel to and fro from campus whenever they wish. Unfortunately, this brings up another problem: the cost of taking those modes of transportation.
The graph compares the One-Zone and Two-Zone Peak prices based on Seattle Pacific University’s monthly rate for bus passes compared to King County’s rate. According to the King County Orca website, they provide a service called monthly pugetpass, where riders can buy a pass with an unlimited number of trips during a calendar month depending on a certain fare value. Seattle Pacific University, however, offers students a 30% discount on both one-zone and two-zone passes.
